Fish of the Month – Mutton Snapper and Mackeral

Must be weighed at MarineMax Tackle Shop.

This will run from December 2024 thru August 2025.  Here’s how it works… Each month, 2 or 3 species are identified as targets. The angler (Rod & Gun Club member, or family / house guest) who weighs in the largest of said Pescado during that month, receives a $250 MarineMax tackle shop gift certificate, for EACH SPECIES, along with Reef Press notoriety as the month’s winner and angling bragging rights.

Weigh-ins available from 7:00 am – 4:45 pm.

If fish was not weighed at MarineMax Tackle Shop and there is no photo evidence of fish and weight, then that fish will not be counted for Fish of the Month.

December      Mutton Snapper – *Mackerel
January          Wahoo – Blackfin Tuna – Seatrout
February        Dolphin – ***Swordfish – **Snapper
March              **Snapper – Cobia – *Mackerel
April                ***Swordfish – Sea Trout – Dolphin
May                  Grouper – Dolphin – Sea Trout
June               Dolphin – Hogfish – Tuna (Blackfin – Yellowfin)
July                **Snapper – Dolphin
August          Cubera Snapper – Dolphin
